Dr. Olabisi Badmus joined the faculty of the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in 2015. She also serves as the Medical Director of Student and Employee Health Services for the School of Medicine and the Assistant Director for the Preventive Medicine Residency Program. She completed her internship in Pediatrics at the University of Chicago and her Preventive Medicine Residency at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Ga along with earning a Master of Public Health degree. Following residency, Dr. Badmus completed a Fellowship in Public Health Practice at the New York City Department of Health. Prior to her appointment to the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, Dr. Badmus served as the lead medical consultant in the Division of Acute Disease Epidemiology at the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control.

As a graduate of the Honors Program, Dr. Badmus received her Bachelor of Science degree in Integrated Life Sciences from Kent State University and her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.
