Biography Dr. Smith joined faculty of the University of South Carolina Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2005. Prior to her USC appointment, she was in private practice in Georgetown, SC for two and a half years. She maintains a comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology practice at University Specialty Clinics and has the most robotic experience in the Midlands in benign gynecologic robotic surgery. Dr. Smith also serves as an attending physician in the labor and delivery and surgery units at Palmetto Health Richland. She is very involved in resident education, serving first as Associate Program Director and now serving as the Residency Program Director. She is an active member of APGO/CREOG. Dr. Smith's special interests include advanced laparoscopy, operative hysteroscopy, robotics, and treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding.
