Biography
Dr. Daniel Brown brought an extensive background in pediatric pulmonology to the USC School of Medicine when he joined the Department of Pediatrics in 2008. Prior to his appointment with the Department of Pediatrics' Division of Pulmonology, he was in private practice with Pediatric Pulmonary Associates, Columbia, South Carolina, for ten years.

Dr. Brown's professional experience also includes academic appointments with the University of Florida College of Medicine, Gainesville, Florida; and the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, Lexington, Kentucky. He has also served as Director of Infant Pulmonary Function Lab at Shands Hospital, Gainesville, Florida; and in private practice with Memorial Sisters of Charity Health Centers, Houston Texas.

A graduate of Hillsdale College, Hillsdale, Michigan, Dr. Brown earned a doctor of medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, South Carolina. He completed a pediatric residency at University of Kentucky College of Medicine/Chandler Medical Center, Lexington; and a pediatric pulmonology fellowship at the University of Florida College of Medicine, Gainesville, Florida. He is board certified in general pediatrics and pediatric pulmonology, with special interests in asthma, pulmonary function testing, cystic fibrosis, and bronchopulmonary dysplasia.
