Dr. Eric Williams joined the Department of Neuropsychiatry and Behavioral Science in 2006 after completing a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship with the University of South Carolina School of Medicine/Palmetto Health Alliance, Columbia, South Carolina. Dr. Williams also served a psychiatry residency with the School of Medicine/Palmetto Health Alliance. He has been honored with a number of awards during his education and training, including Child Psychiatry Resident of the Year and Child Psychiatry Medical Student Educator Award.

A Wake Forest alumnus, Dr. Williams received a bachelor of arts in psychology, magna cum laude. He earned a doctor of medicine from Wake Forest University School of Medicine.

Dr. Williams is board certified in general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry. His special interests are working with adolescents and cognitive behavioral therapy.
